Robert is an award-winning freelance writer with 20 years of experience in publishing. He currently acts as the Editor-at-Large of the architecture and design publications interiors+sources and retrofit, and serves as a contributing writer to i+D (the official publication of the American Society of Interior Designers), Retail Environments, BUILDINGS, BioFuels Journal and Grain Journal magazines. He is also a former tech writer for The Architect's Newspaper. He's a ghost blogger for Crypton fabrics, and a PR content creator for Arcadia Contract and Encore Seating.

In both 2017 and 2016, he was recognized with both a national and regional Azbee Award Gold from the Association for Business Publication Editors (ASBPE) for his regularly-contributed Trend Alert column to retrofit magazine (he also earned a Gold regional award in 2015 for the same column). In the same month, Robert also was recognized with a 2016 Tabbie Award Top 25 Entry from the Trade Association Business Publications International (TABPI) for his cover story for Retail Environments. During his eight-year tenure as editor of interiors+sources, the magazine garnered multiple industry awards, including three Maggie Awards for Best Publication (2011, 2010, 2008); a Folio: Eddie + Ozzie Award for Best B-to-B Website (2012); and a Tabbie Award (2013) for Best B-to-B Website. Robert is also a contributing author to the book, The State of the Interior Design Profession (Fairchild, 2010), which was placed on the International Federation of Interior Architects/Designers' "50 Must Read, Must Have" book list.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach, FL, with a minor concentration in Business Administration.
Personally, Robert is a life-long musician/drummer, an avid reader, an erratic golfer, and an aspiring photographer that loves to spend time with his family and to serve in his local church. As a follower of Jesus Christ, he aims to walk out his faith in word and deed by the grace and love of God.
